Convert gtfs feeds with French chars into sqlite database with gs_gtfsdb_compile

Hi

I am using gs_gtfsdb_compile to convert some gtfs data with French chars into a sqlite database, however when reading back the database using Qt the diacritics are not shown correctly. Does the above script take into account these special chars ? Do you have suggestions how to read back the resulting database ?
