Afterthe Adipurush debacle, fans are looking forward to watching Nitesh Tiwaris' three-part Ramayana, which he said will be appealing to both kids as well as the older generation. Who will play which role in the movie based on the Sanskrit epic from ancient India? Here are seven actors who have reportedly been confirmed for the film.

Now, the reports suggest that Arun Govil, the man who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramayan has been approached to play King Dasharatha in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan. Earlier, it was said that Amitabh Bachchan would play this role.

If reports are to be believed, another celebrity has joined the cast of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Rakul Preet Singh who will essay the role of Ravana's sister Shurpanakha in the trilogy. The character is imperative to the story as it was Shurpanakha who changed the course of Ramayana and brought Lord Ram and Ravan face to face. The film is currently in it's pre-production stage and the shooting will likely begin in March 2024. As per the reports, the film might hit the theatre screens in March 2025. However, an official confirmation on the cast as well as the release date is awaited.

Although an official announcement is awaited, if reports are to be believed, Bobby Deol will likely join the cast of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. As per a report on Pinvillka, the makers have approached the actor who is basking in the glory of his last release Animal. He has not given his consent as of yet.

Additionally, the report also suggests that Lara Dutta has also been offered the role of Princess Kaikeyi, the third consort of King Dasharatha. It's a pivotal character as it leads to the entire conflict in Ramayana. The actress has shown her excitement for the project, but is yet to sign the official papers.

After Hrithik Roshan walked out of the project for reasons best known to him, Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been roped in to play Lord Ram in Ramayana. As per the latest reports, he is going to quit alcohol and meat to prepare for the role spiritually and thus align with Lord Ram's purity.

Agastya already has another more film lined up -Ekkis with Sriram Raghavan.

Now, it is said that TV actor Ravi Dubey has been selected to play the role of Laxman in the movie. According to a report on ETimes, the actor known for TV shows like Jamai Raja, Udaariyaan and Kumkum Bhagya among others has been confirmed. However, an official announcement is awaited.

After the grand success of Gada 2, Sunny Deol already has several projects lined up and if reports are to be believed, he has also been roped in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana in the role of Lord Hanuman. It is said that Sunny has expressed his interest in playing the role and is quite excited about it too.

KGF star Yash who enjoys a massive fan following across the country has reportedly been roped in to play the role of Ravan. It is said that he has already taken up several look tests, post which he has been finalised for the role.

Known for her roles in popular movies like Premam and Athiran among others, Sai Pallavi who has predominantly worked in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films has been finalized for the role of Sita. Earlier, it was said that Alia Bhatt was in talks for the role. However, it seems Nitesh Towari went ahead with his first choice.

Days after it was reported that KGF actor Yash has turned down the role of Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan, an industry source has informed that the reports are 'baseless'. The upcoming mythological film will star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Alia Bhatt as Sita Maa. The director has reportedly locked his actors for the film and he also has a date in mind for the film to go on floors.

Moreover, if sources are to be believed, reports of Yash not being a part of Ramayana are baseless as of now. As per an internal independent industry source, "The reports of Yash not doing Ramayana are absolutely baseless. Please wait for one of the biggest casting coups to be announced when the Ramayana team officially does it."

According to the source, "Ramayana is going to be one of the biggest films to come out of India and is backed by one of the prominent visual effect companies of the world. Nitesh Tiwari who is one of the best directors of the country is working full-fledged. The film is assembling one of the biggest casts ever to have come on the Indian screen. The shoot of the film will begin by the end of this year."

Reports had stated that Yash was offered the role of Ravan, however, an India Today report rubbished the reports and said that they are not true. Quoting Kannada film industry sources, the report also stated that Yash would not take on a negative role at this point in his career.

Their successful partnership made Ajay Devgn an obvious choice for Ravana in Adipurush, as his acting prowess and command over powerful roles were well-established.

Reports suggest that Ajay Devgn turned down the role of Ravana in Adipurush due to his packed schedule and prior commitments. The actor's refusal left the door open for Saif Ali Khan to step into the shoes of the antagonist.

Ravana will switch between 3 different stances through the fight, depending on the phase, he has a Dragonfly, Scorpion and Beetle. Each stance has their own set of abilities. Prior to starting the fight, Waymark the arena with A, B, C, A being North, B East, C South and remembering unmarked is D (West), this will be used for a later mechanic.
