Reading binary file 4B.vout as plain text.

Hi, I recently posted this question on StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28349805/extracting-plain-text-output-from-binary-file

I'm looking for more information on how the binary file graph-name.4B.vout output by the pagerank app in the C++ version of graphchi is structured. And is there a bash command or something similar say in python that I might be able to use to read it as plain text?
