From the non-programmers perspective in this group, each successive generation of Windows OS seems to be giving less and less importance to indic scripts. With XP, we could use indolipi, bhasha and a host of other scripts. None of these work on Windows 10, unless I use an online editor.

How do I obtain the translipi ime for use as keyboard on computer based applications like Word?

Please advise.

Ambarish Sridharanarayanan <amba...@ksharanam.net>: Jan 12 11:19PM -0800 Many of you may have heard of translipi, the Javascript library to allow a webpage viewer to view Sanskrit content in the script of their choice. e.g. Check out http://sahityam.net/wiki/Main_Page or http://stotrasamhita.net/wiki/Main_Page, for instance: you can pick the Sanskrit script of your choice from the translipi widget on the left-bar.   I've gone ahead and implemented Grantha support in my fork of translipi:   https://github.com/deepestblue/translipi   I'm working with the translipi author on merging these changes back into the main line, but until then, if you'd like to use it, simply follow instructions on the above page, using the forked translipi.xml and translipi.js as appropriate.

translipi is not a mechanism to input Indic text; instead, it's a mechanism a website can use to allow readers of the website to read Sanskrit text in the script of their choice.
