[Grant Park Neighborhood Watch]

This morning around 6:30AM a woman reported being accosted by a man as she was jogging around the park.  The incident happened near the east parking lot near Boulevard and Confederate. The woman screamed and was able to get away and the man was reported to have run off into the park.  Once I get more info I will update but in the mean time two things:

1) If anyone was out during this time and saw anything suspicious please call the police.

2) Remember about personal safety while out running, some tips:

  A - stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.

  B - run in groups or another person.

  C - avoid headphones or anything else that may distract you from what is happening around you.

  D - Always call 911 if you see anything remotely suspicious or out of place.
