Granicus Open Platform API

Is there really an Open Platform API?  I've filled out this form (http://www.granicus.com/help/api/) a couple of times and have never heard anything back about the API.  I know Granicus got the form submission because now I get email (spam) from Michael Ashford at Granicus about other stuff I never requested.

I've called Granicus multiple times and have never gotten past the operator, James, who also knows me by name now.  He's forwarded my request for an API key or a call back telling my why they aren't going to give me an API key.  I haven't heard anything.  When I've called back he's apologized profusely and forwarded my questions/requests on.  I've never heard anything back from Granicus.

So, is there really an Open Platform API?  Is it available to the public?

Hey Jason,

I do know a related item in that there's also an Open Civic Data initiative http://opencivicdata.org/developers/ and invite you there. 

I'd love to know more about the Granicus API as well.
