Can someone answer the following questions about iLegislate before we show our board how to use the application?
1. How many characters can you type in the notes field in iLegislate?
2. Can you explain how to use the Recommended Action field and the Department field in Media Manager to populate the Action and Dept. fields in iLegislate? What is the real purpose or uses for these fields when you cannot enter or change the information in iLegislate?
4. Do any of the files (agendas/notes/bookmarks) for a particular username get saved somewhere on Granicus' servers? If the files (agendas/notes/bookmarks) for a particular username are downloaded or saved to the iPad, are they still backup on Granicus' servers?
5. If the iLegislate app needs to be reinstalled or if a board member gets a new iPad, how do I transfer their downloaded agendas (stored on their iPad) with notes/bookmarks so they do not lose them? Is this a process for Granicus' technical support?
6. Is there a limit on how many agendas w/notes can be store on the iPad or stored on Granicus' servers?
7. Why does the documentation imply there is a six meeting events limit on the iLegislate agenda window?
8. When will the mobile Legislate app be available for non-Apple mobile devices?
9. Will there be a laptop or desktop version?

Javier,
Thank you for answering so quickly. I asked all of these questions during our training of iLegislate with Carolyn Hardy back in June and was still waiting on a response to one of these questions so I decided to go direct.
I deleted question #3 and then did not go back to renumber the others.
So if I understand your response to question #4 and #5, all agendas, bookmarks and notes are backed up to Granicus' servers whether or not you download the agenda to the iPad. Is this correct?
Can you notify me when the bug is fixed for backing up the agendas?
Question #7 came from page eight of the iLegislate Installation and User Guide (Note: Only Agendas from the six upcoming meeting events will display in this window.).
We definitely would like to request the iLegislate app to be available on Android, desktops/laptops, and/or web-based. We are not standardized on one platform.
Also, we have noticed a bug in the Change View menu of iLegislate. If we select Notes or Bookmarks from the drop down menu, it closes iLegislate. We reported this issue to our trainer Carolyn Hardy back in June. Any idea when the fix will be available?
I would like to suggest adding more information to the iLegislate documentation to cover some of my questions I asked such as #1, #2, #4, #5, and #6. Is this a possibility?
By the way, our county administrator and other department heads really liked iLegislate. We are holding off going live until we have our questions answered and bugs corrected.
Thank you and great job!
