If you know any Black young men who aspire to attend medical or dental school, there is an opportunity for a full-ride pathway they should know about.
Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College have a joint program in which students complete three years at TSU and then matriculate to Meharry, finishing an MD or DDS in seven years rather than the traditional eight.
They currently have enough qualified female applicants, but no Black male applicants.
If you know a high-school senior who wants to become a physician or dentist and meets the following criteria:
• ACT: 28 or higher
• GPA: 3.5 or higher
There is a strong possibility of a full-ride scholarship.
Prospective candidates can send their information to Gussie...@gmail.com, and it will be forwarded directly to TSU President Dr. Glenda Glover and Community Affairs Liaison Mrs. Barbara Murrell.
This needs to be submitted as soon as possible.
