MIHER and Energy Rebates shared by a community member
The link to access the Michigan Home Energy Rebate Program (MiHER) site to determine applicants' eligibility and to submit an application is:
mienergyrebates.clearesult.com
This is a federally funded program and EGLE is the State of Michigan Department assigned to facilitate the implementation.
The rebates are based on household income and the amount of energy the home improvements save. There are at least two levels of approval eligibility, Standard and Enhanced. (see examples below)
I have not included all the details of the program. I advise each applicant to do their own due diligence to determine what type of rebate(s) they could be eligible for and what type of energy product(s) best suits their needs.
For answers to any questions regarding the program, please contact MiHER team at mienerg...@clearesult.com or 1-855-510-7080. They are available from Monday to Friday, 7AM to 7PM EST.
----------------------------------
A useful tool for the MiHER Program applicant's eligibility is the Fannie Mae Area Median Income (AMI) Lookup tool. The AMI lookup tool can be used to verify an applicant's eligibility for MiHER Enhanced Rebates. AMI thresholds are based on property location and the applicant's qualifying income. As an example, I've included a screenshot of an AMI lookup tool map area display (see below) for a D1 neighborhood. The applicant can include an address in the tool to pinpoint a residential location on the AMI tool's map for the income ranges in that neighborhood.
