The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has recently awarded three grants totaling
nearly $1.2 million to support initial Grand Vision implementation
activities and projects! Grants of approximately $400,000 each were
given to Rotary Charities of Traverse City, the Northwest Michigan
Council of Governments and the Michigan Land Use Institute.

A portion of the funds has already been directed towards the Grand
Vision Citizen Action Expo to be held on May 10, 2010. The expo kicks
off a six-county wide action campaign to empower citizens to implement
the Grand Vision. Opportunities at the expo will range from personal
action, volunteer partnerships with local organizations and non-
profits, to community leadership roles.
