Hi Porter,
Glad you survived the trip again and thanks for the reference.
Here is another recent Moniz which is even more directed on nuclear and very readable—Unusual:

Why We Still Need Nuclear Power

Making Clean Energy Safe and Affordable

By Ernest Moniz

If you really want to dig into the  modeling of nuclear, the Australian CSIRO has some easy to use conversational scenarios of the mixtures of various energy sources over the next several decades.
I send you one which I filled out per example just to illustrate what it does.  http://www.efuture.csiro.au/#scenarios
It’s really easy to use and worth fiddling with a bit to see what can happen over the next years to 2050 as we try to get off CO2.
What you can find is that you can’t get rid of warming without using nuclear.  Try it.
Enjoy the sunshine out there,
Bob M.

Porter has sent you the following from ScientificAmerican.com:

Accelerated Innovation Is the Ultimate Solution to Climate Change

You've probably seen this interesting interview already since you are now 3 hours ahead of me. -- PA
