I'm a developer with a small industrial automation firm in Rockford. We're looking for another software developer. The basic requirement is that you have some meaningful experience programming in an object oriented language, but not necessarily work or school. There will definitely be Python and SQL, we also do a fair amount of Java.  I've also spent time with Objective C, bash and VBA (the last 2 reading, not coding). The job is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves learning and problem solving. We don't expect you to know much if anything about the field (industrial automation) coming in and general programming ability is more important than a specific language.

I really enjoy my work and I'm hoping to find a co-worker with the same passion for programming that I have. This is why I'm posting here and in other meetup groups.
