RTBers,

Our local RTB chapter meeting at Lakeside Community Church in Alto
last Thursday was a blessing to all who were there. Bob Andrews gave
us a glimpse of the very succesful trip to Brazil that he took with Dr
Fazale Rana. It looks like they will soon have an RTB chapter in that
country with some highly respected scientists and pastors spearheading
that effort. Our dinner at Calvin continues to have impact as there is
interest in dialoguing between a Theistic Evolutionist Christian and
RTB.

RTB has updated thier bylaws as it impacts chapters. If anyone is
interested in seeing these let me know and I will forward them to you.

The feature of the evening was a presentation by RTB Apologist,
Kevin Birdwell, via a DVD that he sent me. The topic was "Climate
Change - What's the Truth Among All the Confusion? - A Christian
Climatologist's Perspective". Kevin sent me his whole PP which I will
email to anyone who would like to review it. It includes 74 slides
with many charts and graphs but for the most part can be followed
without hearing Kevin's audio. This PP is 3.59MB but I have
successfully emailed it out. If we are able to somehow make the DVD
presentation Kevin gave available I will let you know.

I believe everyone there was impressed with the treatment Kevin
gave to this controversial topic and we were all able to educate
ourselves a little for water cooler discussions at work or table talk
with our families. I am in awe of the intricacies of God's created
order in respect to our climate. The "fixed laws of Heaven and Earth"
mentioned in Jeremiah 33 are so beautifully fine-tuned for our benefit
- it amazes me.
