Hi All

This story still has legs.  We've most of us been abused by Mantrav and it's employee(s) in some form or another so it's good to know that justice might now be served:

Dear All

Myself and my partner, like so many people were stranded in Playa del Ingles in November 2011 due to the booking made with Mantrav International.

If you did not get the FULL REFUND as promised by Malcolm HARDY and his many pseudonyms, the following information may be of assistance to you.

I and another holiday maker, have now successfully won court cases against Mantrav International (UK) Ltd. Will I see my money, well Malcolm said outside court and I quote, "YOU'LL NEVER SEE A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY".

There are a number of things that 'we' can do to combat to see justice is done and to try and get our money back. I do not want to post the in's and out's here, as Malcolm might be party to the information. We need to stay 1 step ahead.

If you're interested and a) want to see your day in court successfully, b) get some justice against Malcolm and c) possibly get your money back, please email me at anton...@hotmail.co.uk

Thank you

Anton

Tim

Please send me your email. There are a couple of things along with filing a county court claim that you MUST do. You might not get your money back, I can't explain why over the forum because of what Malcolm's like.

Regards

Anton

Sorry for reposting. As I previously posted, please can you email me, even if you have received a refund from your bank or credit card company in relation to a booking that you made with Mantrav International, Mantrav International Ltd, Mantrav International (UK)Ltd and/or Mantrav International Tours Ltd, where they breached the contract. The reason for this is so that I can advise you how to report the relevant companies and/or employees/directors to the Police, if you believe you have been the victim of Fraud.

My email is antonbrown@hotmail.

There are detailed instructions in the various posts in this Group on what to do in case you have been affected by the Mantrav situation. I guess that's why people have been reluctant to divulge their email addresses. Malcolm Hardy is being actively investigated by the UK Police so I cannot imagine what additional information you can provide that has not already been shared on here. Unless, that is, you happen to be our good friend Mr Hardy using one of his many pseudonyms....LOL

All good then. Sorry Anton if I was casting aspersions but, where Hardy is concerned, you will know that you can't be too careful.

Hi Donald and Tim,

I also have spoken on the phone to Anton, and am happy to share my experiences with members of this group, by email.

Trawling through the group for the relevant information can be rather unwieldy.  Trying to penetrate the crucial facts was difficult when I first started looking at this.  I think there needs to be a very basic step by step dos and don'ts of what to do in this situation, or indeed any similar one.  Can anyone help with an outline of what should be in it?

Sincerely

Good idea Eddie. here's the original action to take post. I think it needs to be reviewed by those who have been directly involved and then reposted separately. Also, can someone add in the Crime Reference Number. Thanks.

Here's a list of action points you may wish to follow if you
are a disgruntled customer of Mantrav:
1. Apply to your card issuer for a refund (providing you paid by
card).
2. Contact Action Fraud (www.actionfraud.org.uk
3. Contact your local Trading Standards or report it at:
http://www.ripofftipoff.net/notify.htm
4. Post a review on TripAdvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/
5. Post a review on Trustpilot (http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/
mantrav.co.uk
6. Contact the UK gay press:

pe...@pinkpaper.com
matthe...@attitude.co.uk
publ...@scotsgay.co.uk

7. Contact the Editor of The Canary News (www.thecanarynews.com
Edi...@TheCanaryNews.com)
8. If you receive any threatening communications from Mantrav or
anyone else, contact your local police.
9. This only really applies if you purchased a flight inclusive
package and still have a holiday invoice that shows a flight and
accommodation and a total price but, if everyone writes and no
distinction is made, then at least the CAA will need to sit up and
take notice.
Write to:
Mr Richard Jackson
CAA Consumer Protection Group
K301 CAA House
45-59 Kingsway
LONDON
WC2B 6TE
10. Write to Companies House and advise that you object to the
striking off application for Mantrav International (UK) Ltd.
The following email address is the Companies investigation branch of
the insolvency service, which despite its name, also regulates live
companies fraud, serious misconduct, which would include harassment
and sharp practice.

One reason for objecting would be that you are pursuing it for debts.
If you wish to make good the objection, you will need to provide
current documentary evidence of any action that is being taken to
recover the outstanding debt. It will accept the following as
evidence: invoices, court documents or
general correspondence (letters, e-mails) between you and the company
showing that you are actively pursuing it to recover the debt.
11. Contact CrimeStoppers - logging can also be carried out
anonymously if need be..
