As I was sitting to write this email from my sister’s house in Ahmedabad and thinking about Youth Alliance Community, I could not think of a better quote than this which encompasses the core of what a lot of us are striving to practice, each day!

 

Whether it is on a single afternoon during action learning day or during a weekend residential in Delhi or at Gramya Manthan, one of the biggest gift I receive being part of this community is the strength and ability to walk together and to learn to trust myself and the person walking besides me; without feeling the need to run or slow down!

 

So as we gear up for the Winter Edition of Gramya Manthan, writing this email to invite you to join the team, to walk together and co-create this year’s Winter Edition.

 

If you are interested and willing to walk together, please fill in this form latest by Friday, November 10^th, 2017. We will connect with you latest by Nov 16^th with regards to your application and to have further conversation.  

 

While the ten day immersive journey brings with it lot of responsibilities (read – work :-)) and experiences outside the comfort zone, it's also an opportunity for each one of us in the team to take leadership, learn and grow.  

 

The main roles that we are looking for are -

Group Facilitation - Hold and anchor a group of 5-6 participant to deepen program values and act as a catalyst for transformation. 

Documentation - Documenting Session, insights, feedback

Logistics - Coordinate travel, food, accommodation and other logistics during the program

Setting up of space - Supporting facilitators in setting up physical space, material, etc for the sessions. 

Photography and Video  -  Documenting experiences from behind the lens of a camera

 

Time Commitment

i) A month before GM – 2-5 hours a week for weekly calls + email activity. People based in Delhi are always welcome to come to office to work during this time.

ii) Dec 16th to 21st – In Ahmedabad. Pre - GM preparation and team orientation.

iii) Dec 22nd to 31st – Gramya Manthan :) 

iv) Jan 1st – In Ahmedabad - Team Retreat. 

 

As much as the roles are defined, as a team we will all be seen dancing between these and whatever that emerges and requires our attention :-)

P.S. - Your travel from your hometown to Ahmedabad and back will be covered by YA and once in Ahmedabad, we take care of each other :)
