Doston,

Good Morning :) Thank you those who have already submitted the application form. I just wanted to share that we are really looking forward to have few old alumni back in the core team. The idea is also to get new perspectives in the team from people who have gone out and worked/experienced different spaces. So, this is an opportunity to strengthen the organization alongside learning about yourself, enhancing your leadership potential and get personalised mentoring.

We also plan to conduct a 2 day leadership and learning workshop exclusively for core team members later this year. The focus is to make sure that the team grows and realises its potential to create more meaning wherever it goes post YA. There is also a possibility of transitioning from core team to full-time team post 6 months.

We are looking for a 8-10 member core team and invest in the growth of both team and thus Youth Alliance. Don't get too worried about the task, we are looking for minimum 6 hours/week commitment and rest we can talk it out. If this rings a bell in your heart, go ahead and apply :)

Sharing with you briefly what we have coming up this year:

 

• Entrepreneurs Residential in September
  
• Action Learning Saturdays every month
  
• Leadership Retreat for other organizations
  
• Alumni Service Learning Project in the villages
  
• Gramya Manthan in December, Ahmedabad

• Logistics & Resources
  
• Outreach
  
• Program Design, Facilitation & Curriculum
  
• Communications, Media & Content Design
  
• Fund-Raising
  
• Alumni Engagement

I hope life is unfolding the best for each one of you. Today’s email is a special one and you will know it too as you read ahead.

Last month, a team of 11 people came together to co-create the journey of Gramya Manthan 7 and what made it even more special was the feeling of being connected through a common thread as 11 of us were from 2 different programs of YA and 4 different cohorts of GM ( GM 1, GM 3, GM 4 and GM 6 ).

As we spend this time together as a team with many of you during programs, I’m always left with the feeling of co-creation and life coming a full circle, a beautiful grown community. It also makes me realize that the person I have grown into today didn’t happen by chance. I am who I am partly because of YA, while YA holds a lot of my traces, too.

And at YA, right now we are a juncture of expanding our work and touching more layers of change while ​taking ahead the family we have nurtured in past 6 years.

Through this thread of inter-connectedness, I invite you to keep alive your relationship with Youth Alliance by coming on the other side and join our Core - Team ( for many many of ​you AGAIN )  to which I fondly like to call The HARD-core Team. The beauty is while you have lived the journey yourself, you also create it for others.

About YA Core- Team:

YA's core team is a group of highly passionate individuals who commit to YA on a part-time basis; engages closely with the team members in office for specific or generic roles. We mostly seek:

• The Commitment of minimum 6 months

• Working from office for 6 hours per week (for people in Delhi)

• Time commitment per week may vary depending on the kind of role

• No stipend offered, however, reimbursement of expenses shall be done

 

• Fun and food are the two mottoes of Core team :)

• Personal Growth Session and Feedback Session

If you want to contribute but Core Team sounds too serious, do let us know. Lastly, much more than the work, Core Team is about learning and growing together on this journey that has been at the center while facilitating more people. :)

Thanks Dharmaraj for clarification.

This is open to people outside Delhi as well. We have people in the team who operate from different cities.
