Henkilönimien tallentamisesta

Grampsin user-keskusteluryhmässä oli tänään säie, joka tuntuu pohtimisen arvoiselta sekä patronyymien että paikkaperusteisten sukunimien osalta. Säie avasi itselleni ensi kertaa mahdollisuudet hyödyntää Grampsin Nimi-muokkaimen Perhenimet-osion mahdollisuuksia. Mikä tuumaatte? Onko joku kokeillut? Miten näkyisi tulosteilla?

Mainittakoon vielä, että Suomi-tietokannassa päädyttiin patronyymin tallentamiseen Jälkiliite-kenttään, kun sillä ei ollut muutakaan käyttöä.

I've also got Norwegian ancestors. Here's what I do:

In the Edit Person window, to the right of the Origin dropdown picker is a blue plus sign.  Hover your mouse over it and a popup help box should appear saying "Multiple Surnames".  Click on that.

Here you can add Ericksen with Origin of "Patronymic" and Skotterud with Origin of "Location".
