TheHypixel Watchdog has apparently banned about 2% of Minecraft's PC accounts, which is a ridiculous amount of bans for one server to give out, even if it is the biggest one. I've heard people claim that over 25% of Minecraft players have used hacks of some kind, which seems like a high amount, but not completely unrealistic, as many hacks are very subtle, and people know how to toggle them.

EDIT: What I am specifically referring to is using a modified client to gain an advantage in competitively-oriented server. Fast placing blocks for creative does not count, testing the anti-cheat of your own server does not count, optifine doesn't count. Think of using aimbot in PvP or x-ray in survival.

It really depends on what you consider the definition of a hack. Is modding your client a hack? Then what about optifine? Or maybe hacking is gaining an unfair advantage through client mods? Or what about using popular "hacking" mods to use to help players or just to gain some sort of knowledge?

I used to play on a relatively popular prison server a few years back. They pushed out an update where the lower level mines would have a very rare chance of spawning a diamond ore. Then I saw a bunch more players in there from then on. So I downloaded an xray mod and tried to see who was cheating and who wasn't. I wasn't using it to give myself an advantage by getting more diamonds, or even trying to report the players for cheating. I just wanted to see if anyone was actually doing it themselves (since then I haven't bothered with those mods because spying on players got boring). Would you consider that hacking? Even though I never used any mods for a malicious intent?

White coats to bind me, out of control

I live alone inside my mind

World of confusion, air filled with noise

Who says that my life's such a crime?

Trapped in this nightmare

I wish I'd wake

As my whole life begins to shake

four walls surround me

an empty gaze

I can't find my way out of this maze

'Cause I don't care

Fall in, fall out

Gone without a doubt, help me

I can't take the blame

They don't feel the shame

It's a madhouse

Or so they claim

It's a madhouse

Oh, am I insane?

My fears behind me, what can I do

My dreams haunt my sleep at night

Oh no, won't learn their lesson, white fills my eyes

And only then they see the light

One of them was a simple homebrewed clientside cheat because the game was made in Game Maker. The entire extent of it was making it so I could see enemy player health bars and making invisible enemy players visible. Something I could legitimately pass off as a "graphical modification".

That being said, the 25% of players using some form of hack seems unreasonable. Some may be using mods that give maps or certain sight advantages (such as OptiFine), so it is likely that many reported hackers may just be mod users or reported wrongly.

All of these tricks were taught as a part of one of our old community workshops for the 1.2.3 update, but the majority of these still apply in the latest version of Minecraft. Even if you've playing Minecraft for years, you'll probably still learn a thing or two.

It's you've got some time to spare, watch the full video walkthrough below, which details every one of the tips learned in the community workshop. You can also skip below to see them listed and explained individually.

Make sure you have a transparent block behind your furnace/crafting table before we begin. If there are any solid blocks around the crafting bench/furnace, remove those, as well. If you do not remove all solid blocks around them, the torches will gravitate towards them instead of placing itself on top of the crafting bench/furnace.

Awesome video thank you!!! I was wondering what texture pack that is? I normally run minecraft totally unskinned just because I like the stock look... The one in the video looked normal, but that the same time totally improved. (I was watching in 1080p and it still looked fantastic)

i caint get texture packs. my computer is all most out of memory but i can get texture packs on servers. but it lags the poop out of the computer. i need a memory chip or a box with 4 of them. suckish.

there is also a really cool feature I found out that if you go to languages you can select pirate! pirate changes the names of all the items and options on the menu. So a bow's name would be changed to musket.

Just like all the rest of Minecraft, using commands has gotten simpler and more accessible with each successive version. Instead of having to pore over lists of ID's for your enchanting commands nowadays, the game is kind enough to lend you a hand by showing a options when you type your command in.

We've taken our experience with (over)using the best Minecraft cheats and used it to set you up with the best Minecraft commands in their own section. The kind of stuff you'll get addicted to, like teleporting around, buffing up your experience points, or just giving you stacks of sponges to clear out that pesky lake. There are even more commands than we have listed here for you to investigate, including a bunch of specific game rule setting adjustments. This list gathers together all the commands you're most likely to need.

Press "T" to open the Minecraft command line, which is where you can type any of cheats you need. You can also press the / key to open the commands box with the / before each one already included for you.

When typing in many of these commands, Minecraft will now attempt to autocomplete for you, so pay attention to the options! Either type out one of the suggestions or use your arrow keys to select from the list above your chat box and the "tab" key to insert it.

Some commands like /locate will help by suggesting options to help you put together a long command like "/locate biome minecraftsunflower_plains" that you likely won't have memorized. This makes commands like /gamemode and /difficulty easier to fire off quickly.

Want to make it rain diamonds? Or maybe you just want to skip looking at the full Minecraft commands list and get only the highlights? It's your lucky day, since we've curated a few of the best Minecraft cheats to make it even easier on you:
