Sharing with you the status of our
Initiative to self-manage our collective property. Last week, we
submitted the formal demand letter below to Century City Dev’t Corp’s
representatives in our Board.
Thank
you to all the owners who’ve registered with our interim Gramercy
Homeowners Association and signed our Manifesto of Support.
We
all share a common interest to enhance the overall long-term value of
and living quality in The Gramercy Residences. It is important that we
are now more aware of the higher than market rate fees being charged to
us by the developer, and how they have effectively excluded owners’
participation and oversight in the management of our building.
Since
7 years ago, I’ve met many of you, our fellow owners and have heard
common cries of frustration, disappointment and suspicion with the
present developer-controlled management. While I share your
frustrations, I’ve realized that airing them verbally to the PMO,
Concierge, other owners, the GM was largely unproductive. For us
owners to have a voice and a part in our self-determination, we need to
channel this passion and feelings to strategic, direct and productive
action.
This formal demand letter, supported by the interim HOA, with 60+ owners today registered and signed, is that action.
In
the next few days, the window for Century City Dev’t Corp reply will
expire and our next course of action will become clearer.
I
encourage all owners who want what’s best for Gramercy to now channel
our energies from passivity, dissapointment, frustration and/or
suspicion and animosity to a simple concrete action of registering with
our interim HOA and sign our Manifesto of Support through this link:

is strength in numbers and the more united we are, the sooner we will
able to direct the affairs of our condo corp towards one without the
pressures of giving the developer, its parent and sister companies,
higher profit margins billed to all of us owners.
