Hi there all,
Have got concern. Lately I get to see some posts on face book loaded by Gramam members, which are offensive to sensibility.
Please call upon your members to use a cultured language when they participate in a public discourse or talk in public domain on issues considered critical and relevant.
While on the topic, do you know what themes Marxian scholars and intellectuals elsewhere, especially in the West, talk about ?
Economic melt- down, globalization, eco crisis are the obvious. Less obvious are topics concerned with pop culture/culture industry and the new trends in cultural criticism with reference to the work of Slovoj Zizek.
The Frankfurt school neo-Marxist philosophers Adorno, Openheimer etc are facing criticism from new perspectives.

Dear Rita,
Landmark group is organizing Beat Diabetes Walk on 23 November; it marks the start of the International Diabetes Awareness Month and brings to forefront our battle against diabetes.
Beat Diabetes is in its fourth year and the reach of the initiative has grown tremendously since its launch in November 2009 in UAE. Today the initiative has spread across seven countries –UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, KSA and India.
Last year over 35,000 people across 6 countries joined the walk in November and over 40,000 availed the free blood glucose test across 7 countries. Through year round activities, Beat Diabetes has touched the lives of millions.
In UAE alone over, 12,000 people participated in the walk.
In UAE the 4th edition of the walkathon will be held on November 23, 2012 at the Oasis Centre. Registrations will start on the 15th of November and we are hopeful and confident, that this year over 15, 000 people will participate in the event making it the biggest walkathon ever.
If your organization is interested in taking part in this noble cause, please do let me know, we will arrange the registration for your employee at your office itself.
Your support towards Beat Diabetes has been integral to its success and I look forward to your participation in this year’s walk as well.
We look forward to this continued support and presence at the walk.
Regards,
Yogesh Bisht
Landmark Hospitality.
