Rick had a special talent that I don't think even he, or we, fully
realized. If you were either one-on-one or in a group with him YOU
were suddenly the most important person in the world. Not many people
have this ability but he was a rare exception. I'll chose to remember
him for those moments. I will never be able to define what IT was but
he definitely had IT. I don't claim to know him nearly as well as
others did but it doesn't matter. I agree with Jimmy Rochell. Will
anyone step up and drive the bus?

Rick is now at peace and we're all left with many questions. Knowing
the answers will not fill the void left by losing a decent person and
a classmate. I'll just be content to know that I'm better off for
just knowing him. I do know that we should never take friendships for
granted. I can only hope that I'll be there for anyone who's hurting
and to try to help that person through the hurt.

At the end of the day we're all left with many good memories of Rick
and that will be what I choose to remember about our friend. Hope to
see many of you soon to celebrate his life.

Dearest classmates~The visitation and funeral for Rick were two of the
more moving events I have ever attended. Family, friends and business
acquaintances from all over the state were in attendence. There are
no words to describe the depth of emotion that Rick touched in so many
people. As was Rick's nature, he would have been embarrassed by all
the attention, but we can all take some satisfaction in that Rick
received the tribute he so richly deserved.
I say again, remember his life and what he gave to each of us.
