Hi,

I am new to grails and Activiti. I have been evaluating Activiti BPM for one of our project. The activiti grails plugin is for activiti version 5.9. I am  not sure whether the same plugin works with activiti 5.12.

Please confirm. If the existing plugin does not support activiti 5.12,  are there any plans of  an updated grails plugin for activiti 5.12.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Yugant Shah.

Hi Yugant Shah,

Thanks for your interest into the plugin.

The plugin should work with 5.12. You just need to clone the code and change the version number of the dependencies and then build the plugin using "grails package-plugin", please see https://github.com/nickmancol/grails-activiti-plugin/commit/4fefdad27b7215197a6f9b5c2bdd1a299eeb6099

Kindly let's me know if you face any issue.

Regards,
Chee Kin

Yugant Shah.

I found that there were a couple of minor issues when moving to 5.12 when also incorporating the activiti-spring security plugin, although I resolved them  Chee Kin, would you be interested in incorporating the fix (and possible this one as well https://github.com/limcheekin/activiti-spring-security/issues/4) into the main codeline and reving the releas(es)? I'd be happy to check it in although I'm not totally clear on best rpactice for doing that with github...I think I'd do a Fork & Pull and you could then merge?

Kim - can you post the updated plugin for Activiti 5.12. I am new to Grails and Activiti and not having the skills to rebundle the plugin.

Done...  I put in pull requests for an update to the core plugin, as well as the spring security integration plugin. The fork also includes my fix for the issue where primitives were getting serialized.

I haven't run very thorough testing, but we're leveraging Activiti pretty hard in in our app and so far, so good.

Hi Andy,

Great! Many thanks for your contributions.

I tried to publish new version of both plugins but currently facing the following error:
Error executing script PublishPlugin: org.springframework.web.client.Res ourceAccessException: I/O error: connect timed out; nested exception is java.net .SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out (Use --stacktrace to see the full trace)

I will try it again tomorrow.

Best regards,
Chee Kin

Hi All,

I published new version of both activiti and activiti-spring-security plugin, please try it out and let's me know any issue you face.

Also, please see the sample app at http://grails-activiti-plugin.googlecode.com/files/activiti5121-g222-sample.zip. The sample app's login screen is pending to fix.

It is very late on my side, I will publish the release notes tomorrow.

Happy coding! :)

Best regards,
Chee Kin
