Vehicle Dynamics for the Model-based option

While going through the Vehicle models on https://popgri.github.io/Race/documentation/models/, I was not able to get a good understanding of the Lateral and Longitudinal dynamics and it did not seem very descriptive. Can someone help me with this?

The page also mentions that there will be a configuration file with vehicle information and potential race parameters which will be updated soon. Is there any other resource where I can get this info?

Hello,

The vehicle model comes from the book “Automotive Control Systems” by A. Galip Ulsoy et al., and a description of the lateral and longitudinal dynamics can be found in chapter 4.

Each race has a configuration file that tells you which vehicle will be used and what track the vehicle is running on. The tables provided on the site include information for potential vehicle models that may be used in the races. However, we will not reveal which combination of vehicles and tracks will be used prior to the final race, in order to test how generalizable the submitted controllers are.
