Hello,

I would like to make some suggestions for some improvements and new features.
I can help with the code as well, how can I proceed?

For suggestions one that come in my mind is to let the user add a "ctrl" button as hold plus the left click mouse (usually I map this for the color picker in other applications),
at the moment I cannot.
Other things would be to add a few more tools icons in the tool bar, probably scrollable
like the palette or customizable as well (like in Gimp).

Thanks

Hello.

you can fork the project on gitlab.com : https://gitlab.com/GrafX2/grafX2
and then submit Merge Requests.

There is not really a color picker in grafX2 as the palette is in the toolbar...
If you mean you wish CTRL + click should be usable as a keyboard shortcut, well that would need some fundamental changes.

The toolbar is very static.  grafX2 was first developed as a DOS application almost 30 years ago and it stills compile to such systems ;)
(the automatic build make working Atari TOS versions...)

Yeah, I was there 30 years ago' in the 90's with my Amiga 1200 to play with Grafx. :)
Ok, I will start to think to get a good look at SDL and how the UI can be rework keeping the core functions.
Maybe I will create for now a Grafx3 repo forked from the main Grafx2 branch.
I have almost enter my retirement time, I have time now to get into good projects.
