Can't open v 2.7 for amd64 for Mac OS

Upon deleting an earlier version of Grafx2 and installing the latest version it now won't open when I click the .app file.

macOS high sierra 10.13.6

iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011)

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB

What file did you download exactly ?

Is there any useful message in the macOS "Console" ?

You may want to install macports https://www.macports.org/install.php
and then
$ port install grafx2
