Having the canvas always stuck in a corner is annoying when I'm drawing
near the edges, so I'd appreciate a way to, if not move it freely, at
least center the zoomed in view.

I was looking for this as well. When I reduce the canvas size I would like it to stay in the middle of the screen instead of the top-left corner.
