Step 1:  Town Meeting Passes Warrant Article

Step 2:  The Ballot Question passes resoundingly!  1164 – Yes.  466 - No.

Step 3:  Stay focused and committed to the outcome – the next steps are more challenging and will require more input, more engagement and more votes to actually deliver a solution.

Keep up the email chatter and stay tuned in to the process.   There will be plenty of opportunities for input and conversation so that the outcome produces a solid, fiscally-prudent, educationally-sound solution.

Votes by Precinct

Pre  1               176 Yes           105 No

Pre 2                355 Yes           122 No

Pre 3                416 Yes           106 No

Pre 4                217 Yes           133 No

All,

The next step in the process began last night at the school building
committee meeting.

We are preparing the specs for OPM and Architecture/Engineering
services to conduct the study. We are hopeful that the advertising,
review and approval process can be completed by the Fall.

Once the MSBA has approved the OPM and Arc/Eng Designer, the study can
begin. The timing is tricky in that we have regulatory requirements
that dictate some of the process and the final selection is determined
by the MSBA's board meeting schedule.

With any luck, we can begin the study late Fall, early Winter. Given
the detail included in the existing District-wide Master Plan, we are
hopeful that a large amount of work simply needs to be updated - this
will impact the timing as well.

I'll keep the group posted. Progress reports will be published
routinely in the Grafton News.
