Hi all,

We have been getting some random postings about jobs, tamil videos
etc. on the discussion groups these days. I have been removing these
posts whenever I see them and will continue to do so. The only way to
stop this by introducing approval of new posts before they are allowed
to post. But I will then become the bottleneck.

If this problem becomes more severe, I may have to do this. But at
this time, I don't want to take that extreme step.

I want to keep you informed that I am watching this.

Gopal

Actually, A better way to prevent spamming would be to approve new
members before allowing them to post. I manage several listservs and
new members must give a reason why they want to join. This helps to
keep spammers, fakers and trouble makers out. For example, for this
group, you might ask new members to give a Grafton address as part of
the subscription procedure.

This is much easier and less time consuming them resorting to
approving all messages.

Sincerely,
