Students of Color Emerging in English (SOCEE), an organization on campus dedicated to providing a space for students of color interested in English and literature in general. We are currently in the process of publishing our first ever zine magazine centered around the experiences of any and all students of color. Our zine title is “Living Intersectional Lives” and is fashioned in such a way that it can be applicable to any facet of the identity of a POC.
The works can be on family life, academia, relationships, personal understandings and/or personal growth, etc. We are accepting all kinds of creative submissions that reflect that theme and can be printed on paper, including poetry, prose, short stories and/or essays, photography, artwork, songs, etc., from students who identify as People of Color.

Opportunity to be involved with a nonprofit grocery store on campus
Want to lead a nonprofit grocery store?

We are the Berkeley Student Food Collective: people working to provide cheaper, healthier, and more sustainable food to the Berkeley community. We run a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer-run retail grocery store across from Lower Sproul that is governed completely by students. And we want you to be one of them.
Our Board of Directors Elections are on Thursday, April 12th and are open to all.
If you want to legally govern a non-profit business deeply concerned with food justice, social equity, health, the food industry or environmental justice — sign up to run at www.foodcollective.org/elections
The Food Collective is an equal opportunity organization – people of color, women, transgender/gender queer/non-binary people, and people with disabilities are highly encouraged to run. No previous experience or membership required. Commitment is 5.5-7.5 hours a week. Write director@foodcollective.org for any questions.
Best,
