A Word from Grad Students in the Cultural Geography Specialty Group

Hi Fellow Grad Students:

My name is Jordan Brasher and I'm a graduate student representative to the Cultural Geography Specialty Group. I'm contacting you because we are interested in increasing our social media presence amongst geography graduate students. We have pages on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/culturalgeogSG/?fref=ts) and Twitter (@CulturalGeogSG) and are working on getting an Instagram page. We post calls for papers, opportunities for book reviews, and retweet current scholarship in cultural geography quite often. We even post surveys at times (especially on Twitter) to try to gauge what graduate students would like to see happen with our group at AAG. If you could, please take a moment to friend/follow us and circulate this amongst the cultural geographers in your department. We have the important objective of engaging research in cultural geography with the public, and social media is a key way we do that. We want to see more graduate students in cultural geography engage with our social media platforms and bring public awareness to the important diversity of scholarship being conducted in cultural geography. Please help us with that!
