Sexism in Higher Education
There have been great strides within the United States to address and
eradicate sexism through legislation, activism, campaigns, etc.
However, sexism is still an issue that is present within the society
and culture of the United States, and this holds true in academia as
well. While those within the academic community of George Mason face
these struggles, the ability to converse and hold a dialogue regarding
this subject matter is of the utmost importance. The purpose of this
event will be to hear the perspectives of those within the George
Mason community and the experiences they have had with sexism and
homophobia. This forum will provide the opportunity to foster a
dialogue about the presence of sexism at George Mason and possible
ideas for how to combat sexism within university communities.
7:30pm

Have a great week!
