Hi guys,

Does anyone have access to the Google Code project?  There are some issues there that have already been fixed, so I was hoping to close them and do a bit of spring cleaning in the issues list.

Also, do you guys think if moving the issues list to GitHub makes sense?  A bit of disclaimer: I'm a fan of GitHub, so I try to make the most use of it :-).

You're right, I created the google code project when github was not as good as today.

I agree (and we already have had this discussion here) moving all the issue tracking on github; I'll do the cleanup on google code as soon as I can (that means around christmas, sorry but these are very busy days).

Cheers,

Fabio

Moving back to GitHub, hmm hmm... kinda ping-pong, huh? :-)

No, really. I'm fan of having everything at GitHub (meaning there's no need to sync accounts) and using Google only as a mailing-list provider.

I can help as well.  I think you just need to add my Google Account (eal...@gmail.com).

Awesome.  Thank you.  I'll work on it when I get home later :)

Ok I closed those that I can close, and left just a few that needs more time to investigate.  Next steps would be:
  1. Enable issue tracking in the GitHub project -- Jason, I think I need your help here as this is an admin-only action.
  2. Remove/update references to Google Code.  Instead, we say to use the GitHub issue tracker for filing issues and that our mailing lists are hosted by Google.
  3. Migrate remaining issues to GitHub - I think there are some that are still valid and some that needs a bit more time to investigate.

I've enabled issue tracking in the GitHub project.

Thanks, I can access it now.  Lots of interesting discussions from before as well :-).

I'm testing some Google Code-to-GitHub scripts so we can migrate the issues.  I'll let everyone know when migration is done.

Hi,
I did a bit more trimming on the Google Code issue tracker and moved the remaining 5 issues to GitHub manually, as the migration scripts I found required an API token and figured there were only 5 anyway.  Google Code issues now points to a wiki page that mentions that we use GitHub for issue tracking, similar to how Downloads and Source are set up.

Just have to resolve these issues :)
