SOMS HSA
Dear SOMS Community,
Thank you for your support in making last Friday's "Blast to the Past, 1980s Dress Up Day" such a huge success! The staff and students looked fantastic and had a lot of fun taking a trip back to 1985. Participation was outstanding, with the sixth grade taking a strong lead in the grade level competition with 214 points.
This week we have two competitions occuring. The first is a daily challenge to determine which grade level keeps their hallways the cleanest. At the end of each day, a team of custodians, teachers, and administrators walk the hall and make a determination about which grade has made the greatest commitment to a clean building. Today, the 8th grade won, earning them 10 points.
The second challenge will be "Show Your SOMS Spirit" day on Friday. Students wearing any SOMS apparel will earn one point for their grade level. In the event that your child does own any, the HSA will be in the front lobby on Wednesday and Thursday to sell SOMS t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other apparel.
