Superintendent's Book Club

The Superindent of the South Orange/Maplewood School District, Dr. Brian Osborne, has started a book club. His first selection is, 'Mindset: The New Psychology of Success' by Dr. Carol S. Dweck.  On Thursday, January 24th, Dr. Osborne will lead a panel discussion that will include Dr. Dweck, participating live via Skype. The discussion will take place at 7pm in the Board of Education Meeting Room at 525 Academy Street in Maplewood.

 

About the book:

Mindset is a simple idea developed by world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Dr. Dweck in decades of research on achievement and success—a simple idea that makes all the difference. Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity in the worlds of business, education, and sports.

 

Copies of the book are available at the South Orange and Maplewood libraries, as well as at Words Bookstore in Maplewood at a 10% discount. A flyer with information is attached.
