The Gracifieds Google group is a web-based public forum for unofficial announcements and the sharing of resources through individual ads: seeking or offering apartments, furniture, and all sorts of other goods, services, or information. Gracifieds is open to all Grace Toronto Church members, attendees and even friends of Grace Toronto congregants. Due to the large volume of people in this community, we ask for discretion on your part in your postings.

Grace Toronto Church does NOT endorse these listings. Grace also reserves the right to edit or omit any ad at its discretion.

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS. In order to try to avoid scams, NEVER send money electronically or give out financial or other sensitive information (such as social insurance, banking, credit card, or passport information) to someone you have not met in-person and trust. Deal in-person only.

Gracifieds will NOT advertise the following:

events or services of a political and/or controversial nature
medical products or medical services
babysitting or nanny services
marketing requests (surveys, market research etc.)

Here are the answers to several frequently asked questions:

Q: How should I sign my name?
A: On Gracifieds, please sign your full name to every post. Providing your full name helps create a more welcoming environment on the list, associating a name (and, if someone on the list knows you, a face) with the messages that you send. Also, while Gracifieds is a community where many people know one another personally, anyone can join the list. The use of full names allows recipients to verify the identity of the poster, which is important for everyone's safety when using the list.

Q: I posted a message to the list, and now I want to send the same message again. Is that okay?
A: Resending the exact same message to the list -- one that contains no new information, like a location or price change -- is called “reposting”, and it is discouraged on nearly all Internet email lists, including Gracifieds. Because lists like this one grow slowly, adding only a few people a week, every repost is sent almost exclusively to the same people who received it before. Additionally, everyone subscribed to the list can check the archives (http://groups.google.com/group/gracifieds) for messages of interest that they may have missed. If you feel you really must repost a message, please limit reposts to once every two weeks, with a maximum of two reposts (or three messages total, including the original).

Q: How should I respond to a Gracified post?
A: If you are responding to a post, please do not ‘reply all’ when you respond to a Gracifieds post, as that will send your message to the entire group. We ask that all replies are done directly to the poster, which can be done by using their email or by selecting 'Reply privately to author' in the top-right of the post you want to reply to. If their contact info is not included in the posting, you should be able to see their e-mail address by clicking on their name in the original posting / e-mail.

Q: I have a prayer I would like to share in a public forum. Is the Gracifieds list the appropriate place to do it?
A: No. Gracified is not intended as a forum to share your prayer requests. You may submit a prayer request here.

People who cannot abide by these guidelines will, regrettably, be removed from membership in Gracifieds. Thank you so much for your cooperation in making the group a welcoming and helpful place for everyone in our community.
