Hey parents,

I'm sure many of you are aware of the new Covid-19 variant called Omicron. The CDC is finding that this variant is sweeping across the United States, breaking record-high numbers. The good news is that the variant is less deadly and comes and goes quickly. With this in mind, the quarantine period has been lowered from 10 days to 5 days, and the CDC recommends people wear a mask for the next 5 days after the quarantine period.

What does this mean for our school?

All this means is that if enough students or faculty are sick, we may have to close school for a very short period of time. This could happen not just with Covid, but any sickness. From a teaching perspective, having school when a majority of your students are not present, is a waste. From an administrative perspective, having school when all your teachers are sick, is not feasible.

This email is just a heads up that if we get hit hard enough with sickness of any kind, we may have to close school for a short period of time. If that time comes I will let you all know.

Sorry for the long email.
Blessings to you all.
Mr. Kroll
