Tuesday February 24, 12-2pm EST, Rally To Save CFPB At Prettyman Courthouse

On February 24 the en banc U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit will hear oral arguments in NTEU v Vought at the Prettyman Courthouse at 333 Constitution Ave. NW.

From 12-1pm, NTEU 335 will hold a rally in the plaza outside of the courthouse to reiterate the crucial importance of saving the CFPB, restoring our funding, and impeaching the Acting Director, Russell Vought. We warmly welcome all allies to join us to hear from the CFPB workers fighting to save the essential services we provide to the American people and from consumer advocates who support and rely on the CFPB's work. Light snacks and refreshments (hot and cold) will be provided.

Friday February 27, 12-1pm EST, Rally for USAID

This rally will take place one year after the "clap-out" for USAID staff when laid off public servants were forced to pack up their belongings and vacate USAID headquarters.

The event will feature former USAID staff as speakers and will serve to remind the public of the commitment to service that the agency represented and of the ways in which that spirit endures.

Friday February 27, Noon EST, Impeachment lobbying

On February 27th and 28th, the American people take over D.C. Not for a photo op, not for a soundbite, but for a reckoning—the March 4 Democracy. A march against the corruption, cruelty, and political cowardice that’s poisoned our country.

Participants on the 27th will take part in coordinated congressional lobbying alongside partner organizations, including FLARE and the Removal Coalition. Constituents will meet directly with Members of Congress and their staff to demand impeachment, conviction, and removal for abuses of power.

Saturday February 28, 9:30-10am EST, Flyering – support Alexandria tenants

We will be passing out flyers to encourage people to write to the Alexandria city council to ask for stronger tenant protections and tenant supports. Feel free to join us to learn about proposed tenant protections and to hand out flyers.

Afterwards we will participate in the Housing 2040 open house.
