Take action now: Click here.Virginia lawmakers say they want to lower costs for families — but that requires investing in schools, health care, and affordable housing that have been underfunded for years. Right now, the tax code lets the wealthiest households in Virginia pay a smaller share of their income in taxes than working families. Senate budget proposals, including a Fair Share tax, would ask those at the top to contribute more, raising new revenue to invest in the systems that help families afford to live and thrive. The Senate money committee will release its full proposal on February 22, and we need Fair Share to be included.
