The assault on voting rights and democracy at home, and the daily war on the poor demand our prophetic witness.
Some things are not about left and right, conservative versus liberal — they are about right and wrong. They are about whether we will preach and speak the truth, and whether we believe in the collective power of nonviolence to end every form of violence.
Beginning on June 8, Repairers of the Breach and our partners will gather in the shadow of power to declare a different word: Stop the war. Protect voting rights. Stop the attack on the poor.

From: Harriet’s Wildest Dreams
This Film the Police Training is designed to equip community members with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to safely and effectively monitor police activity. Participants will learn about their rights and responsibilities when observing law enforcement, how to document interactions accurately, and strategies for de-escalating potentially volatile situations. By fostering a network of informed citizens, the training aims to promote accountability and transparency, ultimately contributing to a safer and more just community for all.

Wednesday July 29, 6-8:30pm EDT, Beyond ICE: DC Under Occupation Teach-In

The first half of this teach-on will focus on the history of DC’s struggle for autonomy and how it's not just ICE that’s putting our neighbors at risk, and focus on the harm done by MPD, other local agencies, and DC political leaders. In the second half, several local organizers will talk about what the occupation has looked like to people across the city and how we can work together to remove all the barriers to public safety.
Come meet your neighbors and learn about how the occupation has impacted life across the city and what you can do to fight back!
