(also 7/20,27;8/3)
From: Repairers of the Breach
The assault on voting rights and democracy at home, and the daily war on the poor demand our prophetic witness.
Some things are not about left and right, conservative versus liberal — they are about right and wrong. They are about whether we will preach and speak the truth, and whether we believe in the collective power of nonviolence to end every form of violence.
Beginning on June 8, Repairers of the Breach and our partners will gather in the shadow of power to declare a different word: Stop the war. Protect voting rights. Stop the attack on the poor.
We invite you to stand with us.

Thursday July 9, 5:30-10pm EDT, Let's Get Free! March & Concert
From: Popular Democracy
On July 9, we march in Washington, D.C. on the anniversary of the 14th Amendment, the moment when “We the People” expanded to include us all. When everyone has equal protection under the law and every voice counts, it becomes harder to rig elections, hoard power, and rule by fear.
As the nation marks 250 years, we are gathering to honor the people who built this country and to defend our freedoms for future generations.
We will march at dusk as a nod to everyone who has had to hide in the cover of night, from those fleeing slave catchers to families today hiding from ICE. The march will be followed by a powerful concert headlined by Dead Prez and more!
Where: U.S. Supreme Court, 1 First St NE, Washington, DC 20543
