I am writing to call your attention to a letter from a Grassroots
Alexandria volunteer to The Alexandria Times:

"[A]s the School Board considers its Memorandum of Understanding with
the Alexandria Police Department, our community deserves an honest and
informed conversation about police in schools and their effect on our
children. A safe school doesn’t need to be a fearful school. By reducing
reliance on expensive and ineffective policing, we can improve learning,
safety and save money in the APD budget."
