Good morning from beautiful Oregon, Wisconsin!

Thank you so much for choosing to be a part of the Global Read Aloud 2015.  I am so excited to see so many veterans join us again, as well as all the new facilitators taking the plunge.  This year promises to be amazing again.

If you haven't seen the books for this year's project, please go here

If you haven't joined the Edmodo group to connect with other facilitators, please go here These groups are used to figure out who you want to connect with.

Things to do now:
  • Purchase the book(s) you will read aloud.  You choose which book you feel the most comfortable with reading aloud.
  • Join the Edmodo group to share ideas and get connected
  • Get excited (at least just a little bit)!
  • Ask questions - to me or to the educators on Edmodo

More info to come later this summer:
  • Merchandise and shirts if you want to show your participation
  • Weekly page breakdowns for all books
  • Author participation information
  • Helpful tools you may want to consider using
As of this morning, we have more than 235,000 students signed up in more than 45 different countries, which I can't even wrap my head around so I won't try.
If you are on the road this summer in the USA, please find me to say hello.  I will be at ISTE, NerdCamp, and ILA this summer spreading the word about the incredible things we all do with this project.

I am hoping to develop an official write up for teachers to hand administration or parents explaining the project, if anyone has already created something like this and would like to share it with me, please email me.

All my  best,
Pernille Ripp
