to Global Read Aloud 2015
Good evening everyone,
It is hard to believe that in just a few short hours the Global Read Aloud 2015 kicks off.  From reading all of the incredible books, to revealing the chosen few, to sending welcome emails to more than 8,000 different facilitators around the world who will read aloud to more than 525,000 students, this is an amazing journey.

I wish you nothing but the best time in the next six weeks.  Make it your own, do as much or as little as you would like.  The only thing required to be a part of the GRA is to read aloud one of the chosen books.  Everything else is extra.  So do not feel like you have to do a lot to be a part of this project, there are so many ways you can participate.

Ron Dorland, a GRA veteran, wrote an awesome post today detailing what he does in his classroom.  I was lucky enough to put it on the website here http://theglobalreadaloud.com/2015/10/04/a-guest-post-on-the-eve-of-the-global-read-aloud-tips-for-success-by-ron-dorland/

Lynda Mullaly Hunt made a special welcome video here (and she reads aloud the very first chapter too!)  https://lyndamullalyhunt.wordpress.com/2015/10/04/welcome-to-gra15-lynda-reads-chapter-one-of-fish-in-a-tree/

And finally, I made a very short welcome video for all of you (I say good morning in it but then realized that I have no idea when someone will watch it).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImvUtoOm2rw
