Welcome to GR3encycle Phlippines!

We are an online community of people helping one another turn one person's trash into another person's treasure. In so doing, we promote the three Rs of environmentalism: reduce, reuse, and recycle.

How does it work? We simply post for free the things we have but no longer want, need, or use. Other members can then ask for the items for free. The asker and the giver then simply make arrangements when and where to meet and pick up the items.

The end result: the asker doesn't have to buy a new item (reduce) because instead, he or she can get a used but still usable item (reuse). In some cases, an asker uses only parts of a giver's item, then delivers the unused portion to a junk shop or similar facility (recycle).

(If there is no junk shop near you, the Ayala malls have their "Recyclables Fairs" and the SM malls have their "Trash to Cash" programs. You can ask your nearest Ayala or SM mall for their schedule. Just bring your recyclables to the set date and place, and get some extra money for doing a good thing for the environment.)

Remember, before you bring any items to a recycling facility (to get only a residual value), please ask yourself, "Are these items still usable?" If yes, why not post them here and let our members "gr3encycle" them? If there are no takers, then by all means, go ahead and recycle those things.
