HI EVERYONE :) ,

First I want to thank deanic for his help, and of course Piotr Krysik for this great project ,

i wanted to write this to those who want to install grgsm project in raspberry pi 3 and They faced difficulties ,

so, in the wiki of grgsm in github the operating system used is  Raspbian Jessie ( version from 2016-03-18).

so i used this operating system with new version :

RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP
Version:September 2017
Release date:2017-09-07
Kernel version:4.9

and i got some problems you can see them below (read the comments there more problems :D) :

To solve this i think to change the operating system , so i used ubuntu Mate 16.04.02 and he work perfectly (thanks to god :))

For the steps of installation it is same expect for the creation of swapfile you can follow this tutorial here :

and don't forget to install git ( sudo apt-get install git )
and it's all ,

I hope that  can help !
Thanks,
Best regards,

Hi Reda,

A send you a bit late "thanks" for your contribution.
Currently there is also a Debian Testing package created by Petter
Reinholdtsen, that landed also into Ubuntu 18.04. You might want to try
it (I don't have RPi 3 myself).

Best Regards,
Piotr Krysik

The version in Debian Testing has one important bug
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=890914
You've already merged #378 into master but I guess Petter needs a new
tagged version in order to build a new package (#298)
Would it be possible to make a new release and tag it?

Thanks
Vasil

Thanks Vasil for reminding about the issue. I need to roll a new version.

Btw there were some significant additions since the previous version -
most important one is that it is possible to transmit GSM bursts with
use of USRPs and this feature was used to run a mobile station in
connection with OsmocomBB. This was described in the presentation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z08eL5BWJs

The initial version of the project's page is here:
https://osmocom.org/projects/baseband/wiki/SDR_PHY

I need to add some recipe there how to run the whole thing.
