I have uninstalled the extension and re-added. The button in Chrome works. When I go to Gmail I do not have the button. I do use the preview pane and have tried the shift-click and the popup still does not have button. I have also disconnected and reconnected the email account the options. Thoughts?

I'm having the same problem.  I've logged out of my Gmail.  I've closed Chrome.  All the things I've done over the last year or two when this occasionally happened are not working now.

Thanks for any thoughts or advice....

Just to double-check, do you have both extensions installed?

GQueues Chrome Extension put the blue Q icon at the top of Chrome

GQueues for Gmail adds the "Create Task" button to Gmail.

If you go to chrome://extensions/  you want to ensure both are installed:

Also, have you installed any other Chrome Extensions recently that integrate with Gmail?  Perhaps those extensions are in conflict with the GQueues one?  You could try disabling any recently installed extensions and see if that helps too.

That seems to be working now.  I don't recall having two different extensions but now I do and its working.  Just and FYI the one for the email tasks is not the blue color on mine -- it is brown.  I guess I didn't even pay attention to it when I saw it.

Thanks for your help!!

I have both extensions installed, I have disabled all but the Gqueues extensions and still no luck. Like John just replied my Gmail Gqueues icon is grayed out as well.

The GQueues for Gmail icon is appearing in grey because of a recent change in Google Chrome.

Chrome now shows ALL extensions in the top right of the window.  Previously extensions that added functionality to web pages, but did not have their own pop-up window, did NOT display at the top right of the window.  Now Chrome shows the icons of these extensions in grey.

You may have received the following notification about this change to Chrome.

In the picture above, the blue GQueues icon is for the regular GQueues Chrome Extension .

The grey GQueues icon is for the GQueues for Gmail Chrome Extension.

Yes so that is how it shows in Chrome but the button still does not appear in Gmail using the ctrl or shift.
