For tasks that repeat, you will only see the 1st occurrence of it in both Google Calendar and in GQueues itself. Create a test weekly repeating task, then delete it to see what I mean. Soon thereafter when the Calendar refreshes itself (or after GQueues refreshes), you will see the task automatically appear the following week. You can't see all recurring items out into the future until the most recent one is marked as complete (or via delete in Google Calendar). I actually like it working this way so that my calendar isn't cluttered. In the future he may offer an option to let it work the way you want with how it appears in the Calendar, but not at this point.
TIP: Create your recurring tasks in GQueues itself so that you get a symbol before the task that you can also see in Google Calendar to let you know that it's a recurring item. It looks like a triangle before the task. This is nice when you view everything in Google Calendar so that you can visually see what is a recurring item vs. just a one-off task to complete. (I don't believe you get the symbol before recurring items if you set it up in Google Calendar, so that is why I always setup recurring items in GQueues itself.)
I hope this answers your question.
