I'm using Chrome 20.0.1132.47m and can't use the Tab, Shift-Tab, or any of the "\" combos to expand / collapse on all items.  Is any one else seeing this bug?  I'm especially interested in expand / collapse on all items in the queue.  Thanks.

Steps to repro for the "\" combos:
- Open any queue with more than one task
- Click anywhere in the top black menu that is not a button (e.g. the middle)
- Press j and k
- Press \ and any of n, t, x, a, d, or e

Expected behavior: Expand all the notes, tags, sub-tasks, assigments, dates, or everything (respectively)
Actual behavior: Nothing happens

=========

Steps to repro for (Shift-)Tab:
- Open any queue with more than one task
- Click anywhere in the top black menu that is not a button (e.g. the middle)
- Press j and k
- Press Tab

Expected behavior: Edit the next items (2nd in list) description
Actual behavior: Selection is moved to "Tell Your Friends"

Hi Brett -

So far I'm unable to reproduce the bug testing on Chrome 20.0.1132.47m on OS X and Windows 7.

Does j and k change the position of the black dot for you?

If that's working, then \-e should also show/hide everything too.

Note that tab and shift-tab only work when you are currently editing the description of a task.

I haven't tested on Linux yet.  What setup are you using?

Okay that makes more sense for the tab and shift-tab.  Are the "\" combos 2 (e.g. \ and e) or 3 (\, -, and e) key strokes?  I'm on 64-bit Win 7 ultimate.

Oh, sorry I guess the shortcut docs are a little ambiguous.  The key combination is just two keys "\" and "e".  Both should be pressed and held down at the same time, not in succession.  Does that help?

Thanks Cameron, that worked.  For posterity the exact procedure is:

- First press and hold \
- Then press one of n, t, x, a, d, or e

Note that you can press each key repeatedly (holding down \ the whole time) to toggle the related option.

Cameron,
You should make it clear in the keyboard shortcut popup that you have to hold down the \ key  when using the commands in the All Items section.  I was struggling with this until I found this thread.

Also, make it clear that you don't type the hyphen (I didn't at first but did start trying that when nothing else was working).

Took me a long while to figure out as well. Just a short note on the page saying "Use \ key as a modifier similar to Shift or Ctrl key" would have saved my a lot of frustration.

Please update the Shortcuts message.  I know of no other application where \ is used as a shift-like modifier.  The docs are ambiguous and I just wasted 1/2 hour seeing whether this was a Chrome-specific problem prior to finding this thread.

Sorry for the wasted time, Ed.  I see how the docs can be confusing.  I'll update with the next release to make things more clear.  -Cameron
