It's a pain losing your place when switching to another queue, or having items with long subqueues constantly in the way.

GQueues should save the collapsed/expanded state of queues between sessions.

Hi Mark,

It is possible to update the options for what's hidden or shown by default under the Queues tab of your GQueues Settings. You can set this to hide the items that you don't need to see every time, then use the manual Show/Hide menu when you want to view those hidden items.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello again,

After taking another look at your inquiry, it actually sounds like you're wanting to have your parent task show or hide its subtasks every time, based on how you left them the last time you were viewing that queue. Is that correct? Unfortunately this isn't possible, but it is on our list to consider for development.

If you need anything else, just let us know!

Best,

Yes, that's right.

Some Queues are large with many nests but should be at the top, and everything else underneath it gets hidden.

Agreed, and a +1 on liking to see this added, like Todoist does it.

I often will flesh out a few future tasks that aren't ready to be done and it would perfect to just collapse them till I want them. Similarly I like to leave my completed tasks unarchived so I can reference back to them quickly (and the archive visibility for subtasks is a terrible UX but that's a different story), so collapsing a few completed tasks in a subtask to keep things neat would be ideal.

+1 for this. I have different queues that need different display options. :) Would be awesome to save them on a queue basis. (or a task basis -- even better.)
