Hi Jen -I just wanted to let you know of a new feature I've added where you can specify the queue where a task should go as part of your inbox email address.Example sending an email to:
Hey Cameron,I love this feature but I ran into a snag. I have several Queues whose names are prepended with the @ symbol. I don't remember if that's an artifact from having read the GTD book or a default from when I first started using this product. In any event, I can't seem to figure out how to email to one of these queues. I'm sure you can see the inherent problem of trying to send to an email address with two @ signs.Like: vlad_lolwtfbbq+@Train-Ride-Home@gqueues.appspotmail.comPlease advise, thanks!

would put the task in my "Weekend Projects" queue.Full details here:This may be helpful with your IFTTT recipes - so you can specify the queue destination in the email address, and then use the tilde to escape the email subject line so quick add parsing doesn't create any unwanted tags / queues.-Cameron

Sorry, Jen, right now there is no way to selectively disable the quick add parsing. You can turn it ALL off by putting a tilde (~) at the beginning of the email subject line
This will cause all parsing to be disabled. So all new tasks will go to your inbox with no tags added, but at least unwanted tags and queues won't be created by extraneous syntax that may be part of your YouTube clip titles, etc...-CameronOn Sun, Dec 22, 2013 at 5:31 AM, Jen L <jen...@gmail.com> wrote:
Glad you like the IFTTT recipes!I'm finding that some of them would really benefit from some sort of syntax escape symbol. For example, if the title of the YouTube clip in my "Watch Later" IFTTT recipe contains a twitter hashtag, it creates an unwanted new GQueues tag for me. Similarly, I sometimes forward emails to GQueues that have [mailinglistname] in the subject line, which creates an unwanted "mailinglistname" queue instead of putting the task in my inbox (where I can find it!). If there was some way to escape a certain portion of (imported) text, that should solve the problem, right?Hope this makes sense? Anything that can be done? Thanks much!--
